The advantage: transparency — you pay for exactly what you receive. The catch: your final bill depends entirely on how many units are used, and you generally will not know that until the assessment. A low per-unit rate combined with a generous unit count can easily exceed a higher per-unit rate used conservatively.

Per area

You pay a fixed price per treated region — forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet. Dubai market rates commonly fall between AED 800 and AED 1,500 per area, with three-area packages typically quoted between AED 2,000 and AED 4,000.

The advantage: you know your bill before you start. The catch: the definition of an “area” varies between clinics, and so does the number of units the clinic is prepared to use within it. Two clinics can quote AED 1,000 per area and deliver materially different amounts of product.

Unit ranges above are broad clinical guides. Why the Same Treatment Varies So Much in Price

Who is holding the needle

This is the largest single factor, and the one worth paying for. Botulinum toxin injection looks simple and is not. Outcome depends on reading each individual’s muscle pattern, knowing which muscles oppose which, and dosing to modify movement rather than eliminate it. The difference between a refreshed result and a heavy brow is a few millimetres and a few units. Experienced, appropriately licensed physicians charge more because that judgment is the product.

Which product is used

Several botulinum toxin type A brands are licensed for use in the UAE and their wholesale costs differ. Different brands also have slightly different unit conversions, meaning “40 units” of one product is not clinically equivalent to “40 units” of another. If you are comparing quotes, ask which specific product is being used — otherwise you are comparing numbers that do not share a scale.

How many units you genuinely need

Two patients requesting “forehead Botox” can require very different amounts. A man in his thirties with strong frontalis activity and a woman in her fifties with thin skin and mild movement are different clinical problems. Any quote given before an assessment is a guess.

Clinic location and overheads

How to Find the Best Botox Price in Dubai

“Best price” is not the same as “lowest number.” The best price is the lowest cost at which the things that matter are not being cut. Here is how to establish that.

1. Verify the practitioner’s DHA licence

Every practitioner administering injectables in Dubai must hold a valid Dubai Health Authority licence. 2. Ask which product, and ask to see it

Ask for the brand name, and ask to see the sealed vial or packaging opened in front of you. This is standard practice at reputable clinics and there is no legitimate reason to refuse. Botulinum toxin has well-established medical uses beyond expression lines, and these are priced differently because they require substantially more product:

• Underarm hyperhidrosis and hands and feet hyperhidrosis — excessive sweating, which in a Dubai summer is a quality-of-life issue rather than a cosmetic one, and where results often last considerably longer than facial treatment.
• Masseter treatment for bruxism and jawline slimming — addressing teeth grinding and jaw tension while softening the lower face contour.
